We have noticed a rise in attempted compromises of hosting and email accounts such as weak or reused passwords, unsafe links in emails, and poorly protected devices. While our systems are secured and monitored, many security breaches originate from user actions or compromised local devices.
We strongly encourage all clients to take the following precautions:
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Client Area and cPanel. Follow our step-by-step guide here: 2FA Setup Guide.

- Use strong, unique passwords and avoid reusing them across services.

- Ensure your computer or mobile device has reliable antivirus and malware protection software installed and kept up to date.

- Be cautious of any emails requesting payments via links or asking to change login details. Always verify the sender’s email address and contact us if you are uncertain.

Important Update: IDS Hosting considers 2FA an essential security requirement for all users. We plan to make 2FA mandatory by 2026 to further strengthen account protection and reduce risk.
